Chapter 768: The terrorists

"This place has such a gloomy atmosphere, it’s hard to believe that all this is really the work of humans," Jayden thought as he landed on the ground. He could sense the presence of a few people not too far away.

It almost looked like a scene from a movie, one hell of a brutal movie. Quite a lot of humans had died, and judging from the condition of their skulls, it appeared they were all burned alive in some kind of liquid that melted their flesh and organs.

And after that, their skeletons were tossed aside. Humans, animals, and even the invaders had gone through this kind of cruel fate. Whoever did this definitely did not value the lives of any of them in the slightest.

There was a building in which Jayden sensed the presence of more than fifty men, who were busy doing different things, and aside from them all, it appeared that there were still quite a lot of people trapped inside.

Jayden slowly began to walk towards the door. This was definitely the terrorist group that had sent a threat to him, but he couldn’t sense any kind of supernatural strength in the people present inside.

Just as he walked through the entrance, several men and women charged towards him with weapons in their hands like wild beasts who had gone mad. Jayden just froze their bodies and looked at them closely.

"So vampires are involved in this thing?" he mumbled as he noticed an almost invisible mark of a vampire bite on the neck of one of the women. They all seemed to be controlled by some vampire.

Jayden tried to check their memories, but they were completely empty. Aside from a tool, everything had been erased from them; they were no longer even humans.

’I feel like this is somehow related to Coven. Just why did they kill so many people and animals? They must be preparing something since they all had died in a particular manner, but then why did they expose this group of people to me?

Had they already finished what they were planning? Is this a threat or a challenge?’ Jayden wondered, as he killed all the people frozen in front of him in an instant.

Then he continued to move forward while looking around the place. All the people he came across charged towards him like mad beasts, and Jayden just killed them all without a thought; they were all far too gone.

"Just how long has this place existed for?" Jayden wondered, as he walked through different rooms and saw some really cruel scenes. Humans and animals were treated in such a bad way here that it could make anyone’s skin crawl.

"I guess this floor was only for invaders, then the next floor would be for..." Anna mumbled while trying to understand the purpose behind this place. After walking out of the room, Jayden began to walk downstairs and soon arrived at the next floor.

Again, several people attacked him, and they all died in the next second. On this floor, too, there was a big hall just like the one above. Without wasting any time, Jayden pushed the door open and walked inside.

"So many animals, it looks as if he has gathered every kind of animal and insect. Just what kind of person is the leader of Coven?"

Jayden wondered. All the animals also seemed in a very bad shape, but animals like lions and tigers had attacked others and had enough food.

No animal approached Jayden as if they could naturally feel his presence; all of them moved away from him in fear. Jayden made all the animals teleport out into the open, away from each other, then he walked out of there.

"Two more floors remain. I guess the next one is going to be of the humans." Jayden spoke as he made his way towards the next floor. Just as he walked down the stairs, he was again attacked by more people, who all died in an instant.

Jayden moved towards the big hall and pushed the door open. Just as he walked inside, a rotten smell hit his nose. He looked around to see such a chaotic scene.

There were still more than a hundred humans alive, but it seemed after staying there for so long, most of them were on the verge of going crazy, and some had already gone mad. They were attacking others and eating the bodies of other humans.

"This place just keeps getting worse." Jayden made all the humans present there unconscious and decided to bring them all along with him back to the human territory. Leaving them there for now, he decided to check what was kept on the last floor.

After he walked down he killed the humans who attacked him, by simply blasting their bodies away.
