Chapter 408 - Bo, The Crazy Scientist (III)
aiden kept his fake smile on his face as he continued to walk right behind bo.
he knew that he was walking right into a trap, but he was curious. he wanted to see what would be waiting for him inside that laboratory. if it was possible to improve without training like a madman, then aiden might just consider and evaluate that avenue of idea.
a few minutes later, they arrived in front of the hidden cave, and bo showed him the way inside right away, making sure that aiden stayed as healthy as possible while he headed inside.
he didn't want to damage his product. it wouldn't be the right thing to do in this scenario. aiden was way too valuable to be damaged before any of the tests had started.
'that ability of his...i need to know what it is and how he uses it,' bo thought as he remembered when aiden had completely disappeared from his eyes.
bo hadn't even been able to locate him based on his aura, meaning that it was one of the very best techniques for all kinds of assassination. stay tuned for updates on empire
"do i go in a straight line?" aiden shouted as he was a little bit far ahead.
"yeah, right there. you should see a metallic door at the end of this path!"
aiden calmed himself down when he heard the words "metallic door." he knew that this was dangerous and that his chances of getting out of there alive were little since those lab experiments didn't look in their right mind.
'but if it comes down to it...i can still use [camouflage]. he wasn't able to see through that spell of mine.'
that was the key for aiden, this spell that would make it possible to escape all sorts of situations without the slightest problems.
however, if the door had some special mechanisms, then it would make things a lot harder for him to leave without anyone noticing.
he had seen how bo was looking at him when he walked in front of him. the man looked absolutely obsessed with him. he looked desperate to know more about aiden's abilities.
"is that the door?" aiden shouted as he arrived, faced with the door bo had just spoken about.
"yep, you can open it!" bo smiled. "i'll take care of the rest," he muttered under his breath.
bo could feel the excitement rise within his body as time passed.
'how long has it been since i got a new laboratory experiment? ah...i can't wait to play with you,' bo thought as he strangely licked his top lip while thinking this.
he looked like a sociopath who had finally found a new toy for him to enjoy, and in some strange way...that was exactly what was happening right now.
aiden was the new toy that he would be playing with.
there was no way to tell how much time he would last... it would depend on whether aiden would be worth analyzing or not.
if he wasn't anything special, then it wouldn't take too long for bo to get rid of him, just like all the others before him.
aiden finally opened the metallic door and managed to get a quick look at where he would be sleeping tonight, and let's be honest...it looked exactly like how he had imagined it in the first place.
the room was almost completely white, with a few strange-looking machines and straight-up prison cells.
'maybe it was because of him? did he do something to me? did he insert something in my mind?'
still, aiden didn't say anything as he looked around himself and saw bo's face right in front of him. he was so close that the only thing aiden could see was his blue pupils in the middle of his eyes.
they observed all of aiden's movements.
"finally awake?" bo said, his head tilting in a weird way.
aiden didn't make a big deal out of it as he stood up without wasting too much time.
"yeah...it was a good night of sleep. thank you for everything, but i think i should get going now," aiden said as he wanted to see bo's reaction.
he knew that he wouldn't be accepting such a thing. but aiden wondered about the tactics that he would be using.
"get going? to where?"
"uh...the center of the continent? didn't we talk about that yesterday?" aiden muttered, still acting confused.
bo lifted his eyebrows. "ah! right, i completely forgot about that. i forgot to tell you, but there was a small change of plans! you'll be staying here."
"staying here? for how much time?"
bo started laughing mindlessly right in front of aiden's face.
"hahaha! time? you'll be staying here as long as i want."
his laughing face turned completely serious in a few seconds. this was no laughing matter anymore. he was dead serious, and aiden already knew those things.
after all, there was a reason he was called the crazy scientist.
"i-is this a joke?!" aiden reacted as he slowly crawled on the back of his hands, moving away from bo, acting like he was scared out of his mind.
"jokes? there aren't any jokes anymore. look around you. there's no one coming to save you."
aiden didn't say anything. he just looked at him with empty eyes, unsure of what he needed to do next.
bo grabbed aiden by his collar before throwing him into one of his prison cells. he quickly closed the door and stared at him with a smile.
"i got to say. it's nice seeing the despair in your eyes. oh, and i hope that you'll be a better test subject than those that you killed yesterday."
bo continued as he took a deep breath.
"i don't know why, but i can feel that there's something special about you. maybe you'll be the first one to survive my experimentations!" bo screamed as loudly as he could.
he liked seeing the despair in his eyes. he could feel it powering his entire being. it gave him so much energy.
bo truly looked like a crazy scientist. he held his name perfectly.
