They could understand not wasting food, but what Lin Mu was doing was beyond that. He was literally eating parts that were considered inedible.
Sure, technically the bones were edible, but not to humans.
A beast might be able to eat them, but a human would most certainly damage their teeth and might not even be able to digest them. And yet, there was a specimen in front of them that was defying it all.
After a few minutes of this, the beauties simply gave up on comprehending such eating habits and reverted to their training as hostesses: do what the patron likes best.
Their gentle smiles returned as they continued to serve Lin Mu and the others.
Lin Mu, too, continued to eat as he pleased, and somewhere in between, a low growl was heard.
"Oh yeah, you don't need to all serve me," Lin Mu said, looking over at Little Shrubby, who was sitting on a pillow with a wronged expression. "Feed him too."
"We can?" Miss Hellebore, Miss Bluebell, and the other beauties had stars in their eyes.
"Yeah, he's hungry too." Lin Mu nodded. "Eat well, Shrubby," he said.
"MEOW!" Little Shrubby let out a soulful cry as the beauties surrounded him.
"Say, ahhhh." Miss Sunflower carefully cut the beef steak into small pieces so that Little Shrubby could eat them and fed them with her dainty hands.
"Meo." Little Shrubby ate the morsel and enjoyed it thoroughly.
And it was not like they could always retain them either. The positions of the Ten Flower Beauties also changed every couple of hundred years since some of them took their leave and moved on to other work.
The Four Fruits Restaurant had originally started with just five beauties and had eventually built up to ten beauties after a long time of training.
Little Shrubby looked at the ten beauties, who had stopped feeding him, and tilted his head in confusion.
"Aw, you want more?" Miss Hellebore asked and fed him another piece of grilled fish.
"MEOW!" Little Shrubby bit down on it right away, giving his answer.
The beauties decided to accept Lin Mu's words as is and gave up on understanding this as well. If their customer said that the cat was a dragon, they would say that it was a dragon.
The customer was king, after all.
A few hours passed like this as they finished course after course, with Monk Hushu and Daoist Chu getting full. But there was no way Lin Mu would be satisfied by just this and ordered another round of dishes!
By now, the Ten Flower Beauties had gotten numb to it and simply watched it all with smiles on their faces. The other servants were also very happy, as the more Lin Mu ordered, the more commission they would be getting. To them, Lin Mu was simply a golden purse that had walked in.
They ended up spending about ten hours at the Four Fruits Restaurant, with Lin Mu finishing three entire menu sets alone.
"Ahh! That was nice," Lin Mu said, patting his belly that was slightly bulging.
"Mew..." Little Shrubby had also eaten a lot and was sprawled on Miss Rose's thighs, feeling too full to say anything more.
"Will that be all, Master Lin Mu?" Miss Rose inquired.
"I'd like another set of all the menu dishes for take away," Lin Mu replied. "Oh, and the wines and liquor were rather nice too," he added.
