Rise of the Blood Sovereign

Chapter 91 Diana's Order

Chapter 91 Diana's Order

91 Diana's Order

After some 10 minutes, Wan and Diana entered Olman's room.

Lyle and Olman were sitting down and waiting for them. During the whole 10 minutes, Olman was looking down at the ground and couldn't even glance up at Lyle.

Partly it was out of fear as he was fully aware that his life right now was in Lyle's hands. There was nothing that he would have been able to do had Lyle tried to harm him while Wan was gone.

The other reason he was looking down was out of guilt.

He had pursued the man who had killed his friend for years, and for the last couple of years, he and Wan were plotting against Lyle as they were certain he was the perpetrator.

They had done everything in their power to harm him, including trying to poison him merely an hour ago with Diana's help, and now they both knew that the man they had tried to kill was actually not the one that had killed their friend.

He was at a loss. He felt as if the last couple of years that he had spent cozying up to Morn and doing all kinds of dirty business for the man were useless. His hands were stained by blood, something he had in the past tried to justify as a necessary evil that he needed to do in order to have his revenge.

And now he knew it was all for naught.

The other thing that was eating him from the inside was the fact that he and Wan were now back on square one, hell, they were even worst off compared to before as years had passed and they had absolutely no idea who the assassin was.

As Wan entered the room with Diana, the two of them sat down on the bed Lyle looked at Diana who was visibly nervous and shaken up.

"Hello, Diana."

"H-hi." Diana meekly answered as she was unsure of who the two men that were together with Lyle were.

She could sense that the person that had brought her here was the same as her. She was a shrewd woman and understood that it was Lyle's doing. She was still unable to figure out where exactly she was, but it didn't really matter at this point.

"Diana, I need you to do something for me, alright?" Lyle asked Diana softly and the woman smiled meekly and nodded at him, fully understanding that she couldn't say no to his order.

"What the -" Before he could finish his sentence, a strong hand grabbed his hair and pulled his neck to the side as a hand that was cut in the middle of the palm was placed on his mouth.

Lyle bit Morn while forcing him to drink his blood, making the man shake in disbelief as he could feel his strength leaving his body and falling to the ground a couple of seconds later as Lyle had finished turning him into a servant.

He glanced down at the dead Diana while Morn went through the change, showing no sense of sadness that a woman he had known for years had taken her life, forced by his order.

He felt nothing as even though she was the one he had always gone to after coming to the capital, she had decided to betray and kill him in the end. Diana knew nothing of what kind of poison was inside the vial she was given, but knowing that she would be paid after spiking the wine and giving it to Lyle was enough to make her betray him.

Lyle did previously hold Diana somewhat close to him, but he never had feelings for her or anything like that. She was just a temporary companion that would listen to him after the two would have intercourse.

He liked her company, but that was merely that.

Still, she served a purpose as without her help, it would have been a bit harder to get to Morn and to change him into a servant.

The bliss from finishing the intercourse coupled with the intense fear Morn had sensed after seeing that Diana was dead had brought his defenses to their lowest, allowing Lyle to easily grab him and force him to drink his blood.

Even though he was not really powerful, Morn was still in the same realm and level as Lyle, and catching him entirely off guard wouldn't have been that easy in normal circumstances.

He knew that the young man was nothing special and that keeping him as a servant was basically worthless as the only good thing about Morn was the fact he had a powerful father. His father didn't care that much for him, especially since the latter was shown to not only be talentless but also prone to making mistakes and never manning up to them.

In order to be completely safe from the man's revenge, Lyle would be unable to simply kill Morn, but had to be a bit creative, and luckily, with his [ Vampiric Servitude ] skill, he knew exactly how to do it.

Olman and Wan went inside the room after Lyle opened it and let them know that it was alright to get in.

Upon seeing the dead girl, both men gulped in fear as they heard what Lyle had ordered her to do, and upon seeing that she had done just that, without any kind of struggle, Wan grew even more fearful of Lyle as he knew that he could order him to do the same, and he would be completely at his mercy.

Morn's transformation was relatively short since he was on the same level as Lyle. After merely a minute, the young man started breathing heavily and got up from the floor. He had lost some weight, but it was barely noticeable.
