Chapter 83 One Against Eight
Chapter 83 One Against Eight
Sofia, her face grim, drew a snake-shaped short sword from her waist.
With only one robotic arm remaining, even with her speed advantage, it would be difficult for her to exert the same perfect suppression as before.
This means she's in a very dangerous situation! The sniper in the distance can't save her life; if she makes another mistake, she'll be instantly killed by the enemy in front of her!
Meanwhile, Simon looked around, trying his best to find the sniper's position.
That guy was incredibly annoying. He used silenced bullets, making the gunshot even quieter than the silenced sniper rifle Klein used to use. However, his stealth came at the cost of a slow bullet velocity. Simon dodged several sniper shots because that silenced rifle's bullet velocity was too slow.
He took a deep breath of the sweet air and quickly restored his physical strength to its peak. Taking on two opponents at once was no problem for him.
bass--
A sharp silver light pierced through the spores emerging from the flower field, and Sophia once again displayed her impressive speed, rushing to Simon's side in just a breath.
Sofia kept her eyes fixed on Simon's harpoon, constantly on guard against his next wide-open and powerful attack, but under her watchful gaze, the harpoon actually fell to the ground!
It's fast, right?
He didn't dodge at all. As the serpentine dagger pierced through his robe, he swiftly reached out and grabbed Sophia's wrist in an instant. His hand tightened like an iron clamp, and a crisp cracking sound of bone breaking rang out. Sophia let out a painful scream.
Even at the critical moment, she still demonstrated her rich combat experience. Enduring the pain, she manipulated the mechanical arm on her back to slash out, her target being Simon's head.
With a muffled thud, Simon calmly blocked the swinging mechanical arm with his left arm.
Despite his severely injured arm, he achieved the desired effect, controlling the agile woman in front of him.
He glanced briefly in the direction from which the silenced bullet had come...
You like to snipe from afar, don't you? Fine, if you don't come to support your teammates, then you can wait for me to take care of her first before coming after you.
Simon took a firm step forward, placed his hand on Sofia's shoulder, leaned back, and then delivered a powerful headbutt to Sofia's nose. His forehead collided head-on with her nose, knocking her dizzy and unable to think.
He remained vigilant, and after several minutes without seeing any sniper bullets approaching, he knew the enemy was getting close.
Puff, puff—
Two silenced pistol shots rang out from his left. The enemy finally couldn't hold back any longer and put down their sniper rifles to fight Simon head-on.
He ducked to avoid the first bullet, his right hand still holding Sofia captive, while his left hand picked up a harpoon from the ground and fired an explosive crossbow bolt at the enemy.
The crossbow fuse ignited rapidly, followed by an instant explosion. A blurry figure emerged from the blazing flames. The burly, one-eyed man slowly drew two swords from his back, then charged through the flames towards Simon, unleashing both swords to kill him instantly!
However, when he rushed to Simon's side, Simon nimbly turned to the side and shielded Sofia in front of him.
The one-eyed man had no choice but to sheathe his twin swords, turn around, and give up this precious opportunity.
"Your name is Wilson, right?" Simon called out the man's name, his tone laced with disdain and mockery. "I didn't expect to run into you so soon."
This brutal killing game was destined to be an unfair game from the very beginning.
The two cave raiders were able to meet up on the first night of the game and team up to hunt others. The rules stipulated that six people were divided into three positions, which meant that the two who had allied beforehand were assigned to the same position at the very beginning of the game.
Currently, it appears that Simon and Chalasou have been assigned to one position, the nun and the Imperial adventurer have been assigned to another, and Wilson and Sofia, both cave raiders, have been assigned to yet another.
Is it really fair that two pre-ally allied players can be assigned to the same position?
"If you feel it's unfair, you can appeal to the organizers," Wilson replied coldly.
The two swords clashed with the harpoon, and they both assumed fighting stances.
Amidst the tense atmosphere, an unexpected crisis suddenly erupted behind them.
Suddenly sensing a sense of crisis, Simon decisively abandoned his plan to fight Wilson in front of him and retreated a few steps with his harpoon in hand.
In the flower field stood a tall and robust figure.
"He's not dead?" Wilson also noticed the figure and blurted out in surprise.
He had no choice but to retreat, watching the newly awakened Elder Chalasu warily.
The flowers in the flower field began to sway, the surrounding air currents gradually became turbulent, his clothes fluttered in the wind, and the elderly man slowly opened his eyes. His cloudy eyes were filled with a dazzling and eerie blue light, and his whole aura became strange and unsettling.
Psychic energy, the burst of psychic energy completely took over his body; some ancient and powerful being was manipulating him, like a puppet.
He took a step forward, then shouted loudly, slamming his thick hands together in front of him!
A fan-shaped shockwave, accompanied by terrifying psychic power, spread outwards from Chalasu's body!
The shockwave swept in, uprooting the petals from the flower field. They spun in the air and turned to dust under the blue light. The ground trembled, the stone pillars shook, and the rocks that had stood in the stone forest for hundreds of years instantly cracked, with debris falling from the fissures.
The psionic light shone on Wilson's face, making his thin face appear pale in the blue light, his eyes sunken, and his cheekbones high, like a skeleton.
The air blast slammed into Simon's chest like an invisible wall, and his body slid backward, barely managing to steady himself with the harpoon.
The delirious Sophia was backing away when Simon seized the opportunity and slashed at her back with his fork.
The blade sliced through the rope behind her shoulder, and the glass jar containing the Killer Bees slid down her back. Simon caught it with a fluid motion.
At least there was something to gain tonight.
The important thing is not the scorpion bees, but the jars. The two jars will be very helpful for breeding scorpion bees in the future.
The shockwave forced Wilson to retreat repeatedly. Seeing his companion's glass jar snatched by Simon, he let out a furious roar, but it was to no avail. Elder Chalasou was about to clap his hands again, and the terrifying impact of the next clap might annihilate them!
He had no choice but to swallow his bitter pill. Both sides chose to evacuate. Simon, carrying two glass jars, retreated southward based on his intuition.
He dared not look back; all he knew was that a vast amount of spiritual energy was gathering, and then, accompanied by a clapping sound, it suddenly erupted behind him!
At the last second, he stepped out of the range of the psionic burst.
He didn't dare look back yet, and strode forward. His goal now was to survive, to live until morning.
