Chapter 47 The Traitor Zhang Tao's Favoritism

The wind howled, carrying a strong killing intent.

The surrounding students gasped in surprise, thinking that Lin Chen was about to be hit.

But Lin Chen was prepared.

Everyone turned around and saw their homeroom teacher, Zhou Yue, leading several other teachers from the school as they strode over. Zhou Yue's face was terribly grim. He glanced at the knife on the ground, then at Zhang Tao, and said coldly, "Captain Zhang, what do you mean by drawing a knife and injuring someone in our school?"

"Teacher Zhou, it was Lin Chen who slandered me and even hit me!" Zhang Tao said hurriedly.

"Really?" Zhou Yue looked at the students around him. "You all saw what just happened. Who can tell us?"

"I saw it!" a bespectacled boy shouted, raising his hand. "Captain Zhang drew his knife and attacked Lin Chen first! Lin Chen was only defending himself!"

"I saw it too!" another girl said. "And Wang Hao's men attacked Zhao Lei first, and they were even practicing evil clan techniques!"

Zhou Yue's face darkened further. He looked at Zhang Tao and said coldly, "Captain Zhang, I will report this matter to the Martial Arts Association headquarters. You can go back now and await further instructions."

Zhang Tao knew he wouldn't catch Lin Chen today. Continuing the commotion would only get him into trouble too. He glared fiercely at Lin Chen and led his men away in a disheveled state.

Seeing Zhang Tao leave, Wang Hao didn't dare stay any longer. He said to Lin Chen, "Lin Chen, you just wait! During the joint training, I will make sure you die a horrible death!" After saying that, he led his men away in a sorry state.

The surrounding students cheered.

"Lin Chen is so cool! He even dares to talk back to the captain of the law enforcement team!"

"Zhang Tao must be a traitor within the Wang family! Otherwise, why would he be so biased towards Wang Hao!"

Lin Chen watched Wang Hao and Zhang Tao's departing figures, his expression turning serious.

Zhang Tao is just a minor character; Liu Kun is the real big fish. Moreover, there might be other traitors within the Wang family, both within the military and the Su family.

It seems that joint training will be more dangerous than he imagined.

"Lin Chen, are you alright?" Su Muyue looked at him worriedly. "Wang Hao and Zhang Tao definitely won't let this go. You have to be careful in the future."

"I'm fine." Lin Chen smiled. "Thank you, Mu Yue. And you, Qing Yue."

Su Qingyue nodded slightly without speaking, but her eyes showed a hint of worry.
