Chapter 647: Pain Of Indomitability

Chapter 647: Pain Of Indomitability

Chiron’s body trembled, battered and bloodied, but his determination burned brighter than ever.

His voice rang out, hoarse but thunderous, cutting through the chaos like a blade.

"WORLD END!"

A deafening roar of energy exploded from his body, a devastating wave of spiritual energy from his first dantian blasting outward. It was as if the heavens themselves had been ripped apart, the earth shuddering beneath the force of his attack. Chiron’s spiritual energy ripped through the battlefield, consuming everything in its path with devastating radiance.

But he didn’t stop.

"WORLD END!"

He screamed again, and another wave burst forth. This time, his aura dantian of death flared to life, dark and chilling. Hundreds of spectral faces emerged from the abyss of his aura, wailing and screeching as they spiraled outward in a maelstrom of destruction. The ground split apart, and the air grew cold, death itself spreading its cruel embrace across the battlefield.

The Seer’s eyes widened in horror. "This isn’t power... this is madness!" she muttered, her voice trembling for the first time.

"WORLD END!"

The scream tore from Chiron’s throat again as his magical dantian surged, its energy erupting in a kaleidoscope of shattered light. A thousand shards of raw magic shot outward like broken mirrors, reflecting the chaos and destruction they caused. Each fragment carried enough force to level mountains, and together they created a storm of annihilation that left the Seer and the other cultivators reeling.

Chiron’s laughter rang out amidst the destruction, harsh and maniacal. "In my clan, they called me Tamashi—the soul of destruction. Allow me to show you why!"

This technique gifted to him by the fate change system allowed him the opportunity to blast out the full force of the energy in his dantain in one powerful attack.

It was usually very effective and its effect grew with Chiron’s increase in cultivation power.

However, there was also a higher level to this technique which was its second stage and that was what Chiron was using right now.

The world seemed to hold its breath, a profound silence descending over the shattered remnants of the continent. Even the wind seemed to pause, unsure whether it was safe to disturb the stillness left in the wake of destruction.

.....

Many kilometers away from the battlefield, Chiron emerged from a shadow pool, staggering as his body fully materialized.

Blood dripped from his lips, each cough producing more of it as his body trembled with exhaustion. His left arm hung uselessly at his side, the ligaments barely holding it in place.

A gaping wound in the shape of a crude "C" carved into his abdomen oozed crimson, his exposed flesh and bone a testament to the devastation he had both caused and endured.

By all rights, he should have been dead. The force of the explosions, the sheer energy he had unleashed, was more than even a demi-god’s body could endure. Yet, against all odds, Chiron clung to life.

The reason for his survival was etched into his skin: the glowing aura rune for Hope, stolen from the Aura Priestess of the Highlands.

The sacred rune, meant to be a beacon of divine healing and protection, had activated at the last possible moment. Its warm, golden energy was coursing through his broken form, knitting together what it could.

But even this miracle had its limits.

Chiron grimaced as he fell to the ground, his knees hitting the dirt with a dull thud. The healing rune was a double-edged sword. While it fought to repair his torn flesh and shattered bones, his body—ravaged by the sheer magnitude of the power he had wielded—was consuming itself in the process.

Every breath was a struggle, the agony lancing through him unimaginable.

Yet, as he lay there, gasping for air, a hearty laugh escaped his bloodied lips. It started low, almost inaudible, but grew louder and more defiant with every cough and gasp.

His laughter was hoarse, raw, and filled with an almost delirious triumph. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as he muttered through his laughter, "Still alive... I’m still alive..."

The pain coursing through his body was overwhelming, but to Chiron, it was a small price to pay. His vision blurred, his body burned, but his spirit—his indomitable, unyielding spirit—remained unbroken, and yet, tears fell from the side of his eyes...
