Chapter 603: Eunid’s Decision

Immediately, Ramon and Arlen rushed over. One of them lifted Eunid unto his shoulder and the second one carried Nora who was still dazed by her actions.

The guards rushed to their heir, while some of them after Ramon and Arlen. But these two dwarfs were fast, their seize and the weight that they carried, doing nothing to the zeal of their escape.

"Stop them!" One guard screamed as he threw is spear in hand. Arlen dodged as he whistled loudly in the air.

A flying core beast, a Pegasus adorned with runes and having six legs, three on each side and four wings, suddenly landed swiftly.

Both of them mounted it and it immediately took for the skies.

Ramon urged Arlen to hurry up, as they escaped as fasts as possible, barely getting away, before the shields around the Chasity territory were put back up.

then again, things would have been even faster for the guards if not the fact that they were confused half the time on what to do.

After all, the Chasity elders were not going to let such an offense against their heir slide.

It was true that what Apollos did was grave, but a life had been taken by a slave. This was a case that would definitely reach the Seer’s table.

A few days later, in the territory of the Diligence family, ac tivities were rampant everywhere as everybody prepared extensively for the war effort.

The Chasity family would not let what happened go, and battles within the families under the holy church was not a new thing. In fact, it happened more frequently than the rest of the world knew it did.

And it always had a history of being bloody.

Instantly, they all quieted.

Even in his very sick state, mulligan still commanded absolute respect within his family.

"I see, and hear all your points. I know your hearts are all in purity for the family, and ours that has been armed. But I tell you this, we must trend carefully."

All the elders nodded in respond to those words.

"The Chasity family has sent word, they want the the head of the murderer of their heir as well as very hefty compensations for the loss of their heir."

"How hefty are we talking, brother!?" Alfred suddenly asked.

Mulligan sighed as he spoke up, "they want a third of our territories, including ten of our material mines."

The entire room immediately erupted in a mix of anger, curses, and insults at the Chasity family. After all, the Diligence family onely had so much. They had lost too much over the years. If they lost as much as the Chasity family were asking of them, then they would as well fall from being one of the seven major families.

This price for peace would be the end of their family. It was just too much to pay. There was also the fact that the other families would laugh at them. And no doubt, every other family would seize the opportunity to pick on them. Pick on them until all they had had been taken away.

Yet, if they did not comply, they would be war, and that family would eat them raw, especially because there was a big chance that the other families might back them in secert.

The diligence family had the support of the Magicians, and could rely on them, especially because Eunid was betrothed to their mistress of the night and this was an insult to her honor.

But no doubt, things would escalate fast.

As such a time, a voice was heard at the end of the hall way. It was weak, tired, but no doubt, it had an edge to it. "we will go go war..." Eunid spoke up, standing at the entrance to the throne room.
