Chapter 513: Vengeance Comes knocking
Chapter 513: Vengeance Comes knocking
The Orc Chief did not see any more reason to batter with Chiron, this was especially because she believed that he was heading for death.
She had been to the second zone before. Back then, she had been through incredible suffering to have gotten the treasure she now commanded.
And she had trained her son extensively, so that he may pass just as she had also passed. However, something was not right with the second zone.
It was as if it had suddenly or most recently been agitated and thus it had become much difficult for the Orcs to clear.
Within the second zone were three layers. No one, not even the Silver ranked Orc had entered thus far into that place. She did not believe that Chiron was going to be any different.
Besides, he had been generous enough to have left them a few toys like Hunter.
Chiron had not even left the room for his trip and the Orc commander had already raised her short skirt, setting herself for Hunter to mount. Which of course, the Core beast did not hesitate to enjoy.
The Orc Chief looked at her son, "Once you show him the way in, you are to return through the secret passage."
He nodded. And just like that, they were off.
Carla had insisted on following Chiron, but he had commanded her to stay back. She could not argue with him and never intended to. But for some reason she could not understand, it felt as if she was going to lose him on this trip.
From his system storage, Chiron summoned a puppet clone that was his exact likeness. The clone emerged, its presence an eerie mirror of Chiron’s own. With a wave of its hand, it unleashed a fire attack, the flames roaring to life and drawing the attention of the Orcs. The guards shouted in alarm, their guttural voices rising in panic as they chased after the fiery distraction.
Chiron moved swiftly and silently towards the wooden walls. Each step was calculated, his senses on high alert. He could hear the distant shouts of the Orcs chasing his clone, their heavy footsteps growing fainter. But just as he was about to step through the gate, a prickling sensation of danger washed over him.
He felt the hair on the back of his neck stand on end, and his instincts screamed at him to turn around. Slowly, Chiron pivoted, his eyes scanning the darkness behind him. The shadows seemed to writhe and shift, and he could almost hear the soft rustle of movement. Something was there, lurking just beyond his sight, watching him with malevolent intent.
His heart pounded in his chest as he strained to see through the gloom. The sensation of danger grew stronger, and he tightened his grip on his weapon, and then it came.
It was a Hatchet. The same one that had attempted at changing his form when he come to this place.
Chiron waved Devil’s Touch, Blocking the attack. However, it did not stop. and then he looked closely. The Hatchet looked as if it was cutting through Devil’s touch, similarly, remolding his weapon.
Chiron gave up on defending, dodging to the side.
Then came laughter. "I knew from the bottom of my heart that this is the place you would come to the moment I saw you within the Fog."
A figure stepped forward. It was a huge Orc. the same one that had attacked him when he came to this place. He had a skull tied around his neck like a necklace.
The Orc stopped, "Oh... what is that look. Have you forgotten me already. After what you humans did to my people, and you did to my brother..."
