Chapter 490: Zi The Anomally
Chapter 490: Zi The Anomally
Chiron raised his head at the core beasts that had formed. In his mind, he really wanted to know if as a death aura user, these creatures fell under his control too.
However, he quickly discovered that these were a unique kind of dead, in that their dead form was not from their dead bodies, but formed as a result of Zi’s animation of their form through their cores.
It was a kind of undead practice that even Chiron had never seen before. It puzzled him. Then again, Zi’s existence was an anomaly. An Anomaly that had happened as a result of his influence in the world.
In the life of the Mc of his book, a character like Zi did not even exist. After all, back then the Mc was not remarkable in any way. As such, a person like Zi had never fallen in love with him because she was never attracted to his greatness.
And because she was not attracted by his greatness and outstanding performance at the test, she was not pushed into doing anything requiring sacrifice.
As such, Chiron, even with his wide range of knowledge had never seen any type of demon that was in her image.
She was even able to displace her heart from her body and function independently. This was an anomaly that Chiron did not like one bit.
Even now, he could not help but think of what Fate could with such an anomaly. The only solution was to end her. Fortunately, he was in the bronze rank and it was clear that her power was a demon equivalent of her being in the early stages of the copper realm.
Chiron’s smirk never faltered. With each beast he felled, he looked at Zi’s way. He relished the challenge, the thrill of the fight, and the feeling of his enemies falling before him. He was in his element, a predator among prey, and he knew it.
The last of the undead core beasts, a towering, skeletal monstrosity with wings of tattered flesh, let out a bone-chilling screech as it charged at Chiron. He stood his ground, his eyes narrowing with deadly intent. As the creature bore down on him, he raised his blade high and brought it down with all his might. The sword cleaved through the beast’s skull, shattering it into a million pieces.
Silence fell over the battlefield, the only sound the soft, labored breathing of the few survivors. Chiron stood amidst the carnage, his blade dripping with the black blood of his enemies. He turned his gaze to Zi, his smirk widening into a grin that sent chills down her spine.
"Is that all you’ve got?" he taunted, his voice dripping with disdain. "I expected more from someone who claimed to love me."
Zi’s face twisted with rage and desperation. She knew she was outmatched, but she wasn’t ready to give up. Not yet.
"You... you monster!" she spat, her voice trembling. "This isn’t over, Chiron. I will kill you!" She launched on the back of the Giant core beast spider.
However, she suddenly heard Chiron’s voice at the side of her ear, "hey, lover! did I give you permission to leave!?"
*SLASH!*
