Chapter 467: Elder Baldie’s Visit 2
Chapter 467: Elder Baldie’s Visit 2
"Elder Baldie?" Chiron thought to himself.
Elder Baldie was one that Chiron considered to be a very unique fellow. And it was not because he was a noble from the giant Serpent tribe. But because of a range of several other things.
Firstly, the Giant serpent Tribe was one that had no chief. And according to what Chiron knew, they refused to have a chief no matter what. Instead, according to the tradition of the tribe, he that sits on the throne of Vandoria his their chief. However, that could not happen as the current king was not a member of the Tribe by right.
However, the tribe had plans long placed in strategic points so that it could have itself the king that it desires. King Richard’s wife had been a member of the Giant Serpent clan. Victor, being his son had already received the totem of another great tribe and therefore was no longer considered a blood of the giant serpent tribe. Nevertheless, his sister, Nora, was Chiron’s mother.
This meant that Chiron carried the blood that was needed to represent the tribe and bring back on its path to power.
Besides, ever since chiron stepped into Vandoria, this Elder, who represented the Clan had outrightly taken Chiron’s side. This was a fact even when Chiron did not have arms not the reputation that he now had.@@@@
But that did not mean that Chiron trusted him or the Tribe that he represented. There were just too many weird things about them that genuinely made Chiron raise a brow.
An example would be the Clan’s connection to Manu Madayaki. The one that was considered the fallen of the gods. When Chiron had first come to Vandoria, Elder Bladie had told him the story. (Author’s note: Checking beginning of the second volume.)
Even Chiron that wrote this book was not aware of such a back story. But then again, there were a lot of things he was funding out.
However, that did not mean that he did not know about Manu Madayaki. At least, he knew that Dylan was destined to face a great evil Serpent that would plague the Vandoria kingdom and kill it.
Besides, since this was a representative leader that had come all the way from the capital city, it was the most polite thing to do. At least according to customs. Even Chiron could do this much. ’
Chiron had a change of clothes and in no time, Emma was serving him and and Elder Baldie Tea in a private space.
Elder Bladie was a man like he had always been. His head was shaven of hair so clean that Chiron could see the reflection of the light in the room on his head.
With his big, baggy robes that made him look like he was swimming in them, he was a sight that could make even Chiron burst a laugh. But Chiron did not.
"Elder Baldie, to what do I owe the honor?" Chiron gave a light polite smile as he leaned back into his seat.
Elder Baldie smiled back, "News of your triumph in the three nations have reached the capital city. And i thought it honorable to come great my friend and possible future king of the Vandoria Kingdom." his smile got deeper as his eyes moved to Chiron’s shoulders. "There is also the fact that you have somehow found a great healer to help restore your limbs. I only thought it wise to come congratulate you." He chuckled a bit.
"Really!?" Chiron raised a brow at him. However, he suddenly leaned in, and took a cup of tea from the table. Chiron looked at his eyes closely. Only after chiron took the tea, did Elder baldie also take the cup of tea.
Chiron frowned, ’what a very shrewd man. He did not even touch the tea in fear that I had poisoned it.’
"Tell me Elder Baldie! Why are you really here!?" Chiron’s expression suddenly became serious. As it did, so did Elder Baldie.
"They are Planning To Kill you once you reach the Capital tomorrow." Elder Bladie stated clearly.
