Chapter 462: A Forgetting Pill
Chapter 462: A Forgetting Pill
Chiron frowned a bit. However, he knew very well that it could not be his dragon, or hunter, and definitely not Carla.
It had to be one that was both useful, but the rest of the world would see as harmless, and even seductively inviting. After all, chiron knew, ’A man cannot prepare for war and bed a woman at the same time’.
Meaning that in Emma’s presence, they would be the absence of violence or the suspicion of one.
Chiron shook his head. As things were, there was no time, and this was the best candidate that he had to use.
The sterile atmosphere of the makeshift surgical room was heavy with anticipation. And this was true on both sides.
The dim light cast shadows on the walls, highlighting the intensity of the moment. Emma lay on the cold, metal table, her breath shallow and steady despite the fear that clung to the edges of her consciousness.
She trusted Chiron implicitly, knowing that whatever he was about to do was of utmost importance.
Chiron stood by her side, his face was an intense mask of concentration. He donned a pair of surgical gloves, he had exchanged for from the Fate change system.
The latex snapping into place with a crisp sound that echoed through the room. He carefully sterilized a scalpel with his flames, the blade gleaming ominously in the light. Emma’s eyes followed his movements, her heart pounding in her chest, but she remained silent, bracing herself for what was to come.
"Hold still," Chiron instructed, his voice calm and authoritative. Emma nodded, her chest rising and falling in a rhythm that mirrored her attempts to steady herself. She knew this would hurt, but her resolve was firm.
Chiron began by making a precise incision just below her collarbone, following the red chalk marks he had made on her skin.
The scalpel bit into her skin with a sharp, stinging pain, and Emma clenched her jaw, her nails digging into the sides of the table. Blood welled up from the cut, but Chiron’s hands were steady and sure, his focus unwavering.
He continued the incision down the center of her chest, each movement calculated and deliberate, splitting the skin and muscle layers with expert precision. This was not precision he acquired in his previous life, but as a result of his training with the sword.
The pain was excruciating, a searing heat that radiated from the incision site and spread throughout her body. Emma’s breath came in short gasps, but she fought to remain still, not wanting to disrupt Chiron’s work. She was now a demon, but still a person.
Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them away, determined to endure the agony.
"Thank you master!" she replied.
"Your evolution, it granted you the Enslavement Skill."
"Yes, I have the ability to Enslave and command the soul of any three men I sleep with. At the moment, I already have one slot occupied by the Admiral of the navy of the Beast Kingdom."
Chiron nodded, "I am sure you already know who to use the second one on, but then again, that fool is already all over you. I doubt they be any need. Nevertheless, at all times, keep my slot for me."
Chiron’s words surprised her. It surprised her in a lot of ways. After all, was Chiron saying that he finally wanted to taste her, or he wanted to be under her.
Either ways, it added to the many questions she already had about him.
All of a sudden, Chiron waved a hand, and a pill appeared. To get this pill, he had exchanged 500 thousand points from the Fate System.
this pill should not be so expensive, but Chiron wanted a very potent one. After all, this pill was the opposite of a memory booster.
"What is that?" Emma asked.
"A Memory wipe! To target specific memories about a particular object." He turned to her, "you will not speak to anyone about today’s event. Not even to me of your other siblings."
She nodded in understanding. To her, Chiron’s words were law.
Chiron chuckled, "this next part is going to be hellish, but really fun." He threw the pill in his mouth, swallowing it.
"When I wake up, remind me to return to Kendou." He added as he fell to the ground, falling asleep.
Emma closed her eyes, exhaustion also washing over her. The pain was still there, but it was a distant thing now, overshadowed by the relief of having survived the ordeal.
She trusted Chiron, and he had not let her down. Till now, her father’s words still echoed in her ears. As she drifted into a fitful sleep, she knew that whatever he had done, it had been necessary.
