Chapter 451: Old Enemies are Coming

Knight Sheyi gave the order for the ship to land on the barren ground of the Chikitsa Clan.

As the majestic vessel descended, its wings folded gracefully, and it touched down with a soft thud, sending up a small cloud of dust. Sheyi disembarked, followed closely by Danfo, Kevin, and Dona. The atmosphere was heavy with the weight of memories and the lingering scent of death.

The land before them was a desolate wasteland, scarred by the devastation wrought by Chiron’s release of the devils. The once vibrant village was now nothing more than charred ruins and skeletal remains of buildings.

The ground was cracked and dry, devoid of any sign of life. Pockets of dark, malevolent energy still lingered, the remnants of the devil’s presence poisoning the air and the earth.

Dona surveyed the surrounding area, memories of the horrific events flooding his mind. He could almost hear the screams of his people, see the flames consuming their homes, and feel the oppressive presence of the devils that had ravaged his clan. The lingering devil energy hung in the air like a toxic fog, its insidious tendrils seeping into the very fabric of the land.

Knight Sheyi shook his head, "lets go!" As he turned to order their return to the ship, a sudden chill ran down his spine. His warrior instincts flared, and he sharply turned around, sensing the arrival of something sinister. From the dark corners of the ruined village, a host of evil spirits began to manifest, drawn by the residual devil energy.

The spirits floated eerily in the air, their forms twisted and grotesque. They appeared as shadowy, semi-transparent figures, each one exuding an aura of malevolence. Their eyes glowed with an eerie light, and their faces were contorted into expressions of eternal torment. Wisps of dark, smoky tendrils flowed from their bodies, intertwining and creating a swirling vortex of darkness around them.

The spirits emitted low, guttural whispers, like the murmurs of the damned, their voices blending into a haunting chorus that sent shivers down the spines of all who heard it. Their spectral hands, clawed and skeletal, reached out as if to grasp at the living, hungering for the warmth of life they could no longer possess.

"The Souls of the dead here, can’t find rest. The land is cursed." Danfo spoke up.

Kevin nodded, "This is the hand work of an evil child. Everything they touch, rots and decays."

Knight Sheyi only gave a brief look and then he went back into the ship.

He could feel that his lungs and his presence had suddenly been hardened. This was effect of the Dragon breath that he had taken in. Also, his breath was a bit cold. He could tell that his resistance to cold had significantly increased.

Chiron looked at the Dragon’s corpse, every part of it was a treasure. And he could not wait to consume it all.

He waved his hand, and the corpse of the Dragon went into his storage.

Chiron waved his hand and the Scabbard of the Ancestor’s sword appeared into thin air. This Scabbard had healing properties.

Chiron sent some of his Spiritual energy into it and soon, his body that had been injured as a result of the Icy Dragon’s breath was healed.

Chiron walked past the Red-Blood fire Dragon. "useless!" he hissed loudly. He could not help but be disappointed by how easy it was for his own Dragon to be beaten.

Truly, he had to retrain this Dragon. Chiron made a mental note at the back of his mind.

After which he stopped at the broken body that had been his sister. He was the reason for her death but he did not regret it.

At the time, her usefulness had expired and he would rather lose her than let another have her.

Chiron’s rules were simple.
