Chapter 427: Bolu The Kind Hyena Man

Dylan looking through the window saw what was happening. He was agitated by seeing what the Wolfman was about to do, and wanted to go out and help. After all, even though his body was filled with injuries, he believed that he could take on these three men.

However, Momo looked over her shoulder, she could see the silhouette of someone peeping at what was happening and could tell that it was him.

Momo had always thought herself a good judge of character and could tell that Dylan was the kind that would jump into a stupid bar fight that did not concern him in the slightest.

Immediately, she acted. Slapping his hand before he could get a good feel of the mold of flesh that was her back side.

"klein, I appreciate your offer for protection, and for the information about Bolu’s demise, but please understand this. I have no intension of giving myself to you."

Klein, the Wolf man chuckled lightly, a chuckle that made his big chest heave up and down. "Momo, Momo, Momo..." his voice called her name as if to enjoy how it rolled off his tongue. "Do you think that you can survive in this world without a protector. At least I am kind and still very much fond of you. I don’t mind asking and courting you the... right way, to GET what I want.

I doubt very much that others will be as so polite as I am asking for your..." his eyes traced her body, as if he was stripping her naked with his gaze. "...hand, once they realize that you are now up for grabs."

On saying this, he turned about and walked away, cracking another chuckle which the other two Wolf men joined him in.

The moment he was out of the compound, Momo, unable to hold her composure any more instantly fell to the ground. She took in sharp breaths of air, her chest heaving up and down.

Only her knew how scared she had been the presence of such a person like Klein. After all, he was a very dangerous man.

These were very trying times in the beast kingdom. maybe it was because of their connection to their beast parts, Beast people were a type that were easily ruled by the description of strength. This was the reason why a body like the Senate was formed in the first place.

And even though all they had to eat once a day was black bread, charred remains from the bakeries, they were still very happy.

Momo had always been very little compared to the other children of the orphanage, coupled with her natural timid nature that came with her nature as a Rabbit beast person, she was always bullied. And then came Bolu. Her knight in shinning armor. Even though he was also small in nature, he was very fierce, a trait that was rare for a Hyena man.

He would stand for her, and no matter how strong the others were, even when he was beaten badly to the ground, he would always stand right back up and fight again.

Sometimes he would even go as far as to use his teeth or any dirty trick that came to his mind in the moment like throwing sand in the eyes of the bullies.

Easily, as the littlest of the same age in the home, they became best of friends, and lived their days that way.

They would play and dream of a better world together.

Bolu always had the dream of joining the military. He wanted to sail across the seas to see the world.

Unfortunately, two things held him back. Firstly, Hyena men were generally known for not being good at sea, majorly because they were part feline in nature, and secondly, they did not have long life spans.

But that was not going to stop him. He tried again and again, any opportunity posted on recruitment, he would try it out.

For years, it was the same thing.

And he was just about to give up. But that was when it happened...
