the door opens soon after maddy enters the room carrying a tray, later she carefully places the coffee cups on the table meanwhile the discussion continues.

clift casually crosses his legs he looks at jack with probing eyes, "do you agree with him?"

jack gave a half shrug, "his concern is not without reason, it shouldn't be difficult for the enemy to find out that he is a former ultima member so it is not impossible for the enemy to start monitoring other former ultima members, especially those closest to him, which means i am one of them, who knows if they already watching me right now, yeah, it wouldn't be the first time, though, hey maybe both of you who should be careful,~" he said half-jokingly.

"do you know anyone else gavin could contact?" jay diverts the conversation.

jack leaned back folding his arms in front of his chest, his forehead furrowed tightly as he pondered after a moment he suddenly clapped his hands, "ah, yes! there's one person i can think of!"

clift and jay waited with anticipation and jack didn't keep them in suspense for too long, "that person is serena shawn, we used to work together on things related to beast investigations during the dark age war" jack stroked his chin remembering those days "serena shawn is a historian as well as an archeologist and also a bounty hunter, in short, she is a woman who has many skills. she was a dolza citizen until she was exiled because she published an article about nazareth and the lucient family, um, i'm sure you have read it"

jay and clift exchange quick glances, they did read the article and were quite shocked by it but they don't think that matters since everyone involved had died and they don't want to dwell on the matter further cause everything involved nazareth has scarred them.

"is she reliable?" jay probed further.

"serena? yes, she is" jack laughs "she is smart, quick-witted, and most of all she can be trusted which is rare with someone in our profession" jack sipped the coffee.

"by the way i heard about the hamilton family and the augburn family can you explain what happened with ethan hamilton" clift asked.

usually, jack wouldn't reveal other people's matters no matter how much he trusted the other person especially if it concerned his friends but the archknight is not like everyone else, they were an exception so it wasn't wrong to put his trust in them as they always do.

jack put down the coffee cup on the table then clasped his hands on his knees with a serious expression he began to speak "well, it's start with...."

jack then told what happened between the hamilton family and s.a.i.n.t. organization, how they wanted shares in the ellecant group, and asked them to return to producing weapons. apart from that, he explained their suspicions about the relationship between the organization and luxemborough, not forgetting that jack also told about the augburn family's involvement in this whole situation.

in different situations, they will soon look for elena reynolds but they still need to find gavin and alfred hubert who are also important assets that they must get so they cannot leave everything and go to brinwell, therefore they can only hand it over to garrof, the most not for now, which means they will work together openly from now on.

this is what jack wanted because he had discussed this before with lory and the others asking for help from harland but because harland had recently closed their connection with the outside world it became impossible but who would have thought the archknight himself would come knocking on his door, isn't this a stroke of luck?

"i will contact garrof to ask about his recent situation"jack smiles broadly, he can't wait to tell garrof about this! "alright then" jay sipped the coffee that was already cold to appreciate jack's hospitality after that he stretched out his hands "i feel this will be the beginning of a wonderful cooperation between us, jack" jay lips curved into a smile.

lory woke up in the morning - in the morning after what he heard yesterday lory had difficulty sleeping which made it even worse without girsha which he expelled with difficulty as a result he only slept for three hours today.

her mood was so bad she was even too lazy to dress up despite the fact that she would be surrounded by celebrities later on, therefore she only wore jeans, a white sleeve t-shirt, and a black hoodie jacket, she didn't bother to tie her hair so she let her hair fall loosely on her shoulders. lory watched her own reflection in the mirror and then noticed the black eye under her eyes but without zhao li xin around she had no reason to care about her appearance. lory then took her sunglasses which were lying on the table and put them on to cover her tired eyes.

she brushed her hair away from her face and then raised the hoodie over her head after that she left the room to get some fresh air lory planned to go to the restaurant but she arrived early so the restaurant was still closed, but she saw that the hotel's bar and lounge was open it looked like it was open for twenty-four hours.

lory stepped into the lounge and bar and was immediately greeted by the hotel waiter "good morning miss," the female waiter greeted lory after that she led her to the table beside the window, the waiter then handed lory the menu.

"do you need a moment or should i take your order now?" the waiter asked politely.

"just hot lemon tea for now" lory had no appetite not even for a slice of cake.

"right away, miss" the servant bowed her head before she left.

lory rests her head lazily on the chair while staring at the glass window, no one can read her expression because of the big sunglasses on her face.

lory wasn't in a good mood after what she learned yesterday especially after she browsed every website she could find to find out about symbols and cults until late at night, however without zhao li xin and girsha around lory had no one to vent her worries so of course she woke up in a bad mood bad.

"you woke up very early, miss jane" the sunlight that fell on the man's platinum hair made it almost silver in color, with his ice-blue eyes he gazed intently at lory, unfortunately, his deep gaze was blocked by the thick sunglasses lory was wearing.

lory tilted her head lazily "you...the artist?" she genuinely forgot the man's name.

the man chuckled he didn't look offended at all "i'm sean lockwood, may i have a seat?" sean didn't ask lory for an answer before he pulled a chair across from lory and took a seat.

"you already are..." lory gives a sarcastic look.
