Chapter 1333: The Overconfident Dragonite and the Enthusiastic Weavile

Chapter 1333: The Overconfident Dragonite and the Enthusiastic WeavileIn Yuga's efforts, the testing results for the new Rose Incense were quickly finalized, and it received production and sales approval.

Not long after, the incense appeared on the shelves of YoYo Day Care, with Lain naming it "Crown." Why the name Crown? Because it was expensive—costlier than any other Rose Incense currently on the market.

However, one of its ingredients was the flower of the Nimora Chesto Berry tree, which limited its production since these trees only grew in Verdanturf Town. Yuga's own Nimora Chesto Berry trees did not yet produce enough flowers to support the large-scale production of Crown at Everlasting Workshop's facility. Thus, Crown Incense could only be a YoYo Day Care exclusive, unavailable elsewhere.

Yuga had already instructed the Grass-type Pokémon to cultivate a new plot of land in the Grasslands Sub-Ecopark exclusively for planting more Nimora Chesto Berry trees. But trees don't grow overnight, and it would take time.

Lain had delegated the task of producing Crown incense to Yuga, Seien, and Kano. Meanwhile, she focused on modifying other types of incense to achieve effects similar to Crown's. After all, Crown was specifically for Grass-type Pokémon.

With the precedent set by Crown, Lain quickly succeeded in enhancing the other types of incense.

Due to the differing ingredients in each type of incense, apart from the inclusion of Nimora Chesto Berry flowers and Liligant' pollen, the formulas underwent significant changes.

One universal ingredient, however, was Wood Fluff, which could combine with Nimora Chesto Berry flowers to form addictive compounds. As a common auxiliary material in all the incense, it ensured that the new formulas were costly to produce.

Despite the high cost, the remarkable effects of the new incense justified their price. Rather than dissuading buyers, the unique benefits made them highly sought after. Trainers clamored to get their hands on them, pushing YoYo Day Care into the limelight.

However, the limited production meant that the new incense was not easy to acquire.

In addition to Crown derived from Rose Incense, the other newly enhanced incenses received the following names:

Sea Incense derivative: Poseidon

Rock Incense derivative: Gemstone

Luck Incense derivative: Divine Grace

Pure Incense derivative: Purity

Wave Incense derivative: Emerald

Odd Incense derivative: Radiance

Full Incense derivative: Gold & Jade

Lax Incense derivative: Splendor

Lain named them all. Since she had developed the new formulas, she naturally held the naming rights.

The release of the new incense caused quite a stir in the incense world. Lain, previously unknown, suddenly gained a lot of attention due to her young age and the innovative products.

However, being part of YoYo Day Care and one of Yuga's employees meant that no one dared to harbor ill intentions toward her.

This was the advantage of having a strong backer. If Lain were just an ordinary girl, it would have been uncertain whether she could even protect her re

When Weavile first arrived at the Ecopark, it had a fierce territorial dispute with the Glaceon, straining their relationship to this day. As a result, it also disliked the Ninetales for being close to the Glaceon.

Weavile was just that petty.

The Ninetales were naturally gentle and polite to everyone, but in Weavile's eyes, they epitomized pretense.

Knowing that Weavile disliked them, the two Ninetales simply nodded at Dragonite and walked away without a word, not wanting to start a conflict.

Seeing the Ninetales leave without a fuss, Weavile smirked and turned to Dragonite with a sly grin.

"Weavile~"

Dragonite big bro, what can I help you with?

Dragonite, being one of Yuga's main Pokémon, was essentially a favorite of the boss. Clever as it was, Weavile understood the benefits of building a good relationship with Dragonite.

Unaware of the tension between the Glaceon and Weavile, Dragonite asked, "Do you know where Lapras is?"

Hearing this, Weavile's eyes lit up. Looking for Lapras, the big boss?

"Weavile~"

I know, I know! I'll take you to it!

Weavile patted the ground, and a large hole suddenly appeared. A Diggersby hopped out of the hole.

Compared to before, the aura around the Diggersby is far stronger, not just because of its good talent, but also thanks to Weavile's supervision and care.

Weavile has worked hard too, but due to limited talent, its progress hasn't been as impressive as Diggersby's.

In today's world, Pokémon with poor talent have to learn to nurture helpers, just like Weavile and Rhyperior.

Weavile hopped onto Diggersby's shoulder and said to Dragonite, "Let's go."

Actually, Weavile only needed to give Dragonite directions because Dragonite's location wasn't hard to find, but to get closer to Dragonite, it decided to do more.

Dragonite was surprised by Weavile's enthusiasm, and gratefully followed Weavile.

Under the guidance of Weavile and Diggersby, Dragonite reached the ice lake at the foot of the snowy mountain. This lake was home to Dewgong, Shellders, and other Pokémon, including Dragonite.

"Dragonite~"

Lapras, come out!

Dragonite roared, and the ripples on the surface of the lake spread out as several Lapras poked their heads above the water, curiously staring at Dragonite.

These were all members of Lapras Clan.

Dragonite quickly realized that the Lapras it was looking for wasn't among them, and with another roar, the surface of the lake exploded as the Lapras finally hovered in mid-air.

"Lapras~"

What do you need?

Seeing Dragonite, which usually didn't come to the snowy mountain Sub-Ecopark, Lapras was a bit confused.

"I came to spar with you," Dragonite shouted.

"Sure!"

The Lapras immediately agreed. Since returning from the Johto region with Yuga, it hadn't had a proper battle with anyone, except for routine training. Most of the time, it just rested in the depths of the ice lake, with its bones loosened.

"Let's go somewhere else."

Lapras, surrounded by thick water vapor, floated from above the lake to Dragonite's side and spoke, knowing that Dragonite's electric attacks were too intense. If they fought here, the other Pokémon in the lake would be affected.

"Sure!" Dragonite agreed.

So, the two Pokémon flew off into the distance.

At first, Dragonite wanted to say that sparring in the snowy mountain Sub-Ecopark was unfair to it, but after thinking about its newfound power, Dragonite felt a little overconfident and didn't mind giving Lapras a chance.

Seeing the two powerful Pokémon about to fly far away, Weavile patted Diggersby on the head and said, "Hurry up and follow them! Let's see how the big guys fight, so we can learn a thing or two. If we can pick up one or two techniques, it'll be a huge benefit!"

Diggersby, always obedient to Weavile, immediately started running after it.

The two Pokémon arrived at a snowfield not far from the snowy mountain. It was a pure white landscape with no other Pokémon in sight.

After arriving, they floated in mid-air, facing off, while Weavile and Diggersby found a rock to hide behind and watch the battle.

After a few seconds of tension, Dragonite and Lapras began their fight.

Dragonite immediately launched a wave of lightning, its golden light illuminating the snow-covered ground.

Lapras dodged Dragonite's Thunderbolt and opened its mouth to shoot a beam of blue light toward the sky. The previously gentle snowfall on the snowfield turned into a violent blizzard, with snowflakes cutting into Dragonite's skin like sharp blades.

Watching the intense battle from behind the rock, Weavile excitedly said to Diggersby, "Look, this is what a big shot looks like! This is the direction we need to work toward."

Diggersby nodded in agreement, silently deciding to become a powerful Pokémon like Dragonite and Lapras.

The two clueless Pokémon didn't know that, in order to reach the level of Dragonite and Lapras, they still had a long way to go.

The battle continued for over an hour. By the end, both Dragonite and Lapras were exhausted, lying on the snow, panting heavily. The result? Confident Dragonite lost.

Lapras had the advantage of the environment, and Dragonite lost in the contest for weather control. It wanted to use Rain Dance and Thunder to attack, but the heavy snow blocked its control of the clouds.

Additionally, Dragonite's rapid power growth meant it couldn't use its abilities effectively, so the loss wasn't entirely unfair.

Lapras had been at the Champion level for a long time, and its experience far surpassed Dragonite's. Dragonite was simply too overconfident.

Seeing the two powerful Pokémon lying on the ground, Weavile led Diggersby over with excitement still bubbling from the recent battle.

"Hey, big guys, after that workout, are you hungry? Tired? I've got some stamina-restoring berry. Do you want one?" Weavile said enthusiastically.

When Dragonite and Lapras saw Weavile casually pull out two pieces of berry, they gave her a strange look: You're carrying berry around with you?

But Weavile's enthusiasm seemed at odds with ita usual demeanor!
